About

My name is Amy Gallagher and I'm a UK based freelance illustrator, greeting card designer and comic artist. My style is playful, charming, and contemporary, and often features themes of humour and cheekiness to produce engaging imagery. I have a strong sense of enthusiasm, cooperation, and self-motivation, and have experience working to tight deadlines, following instructions, and producing high-quality artworks. My core work is digital and suits children’s illustration due to its colourful animated forms, and ability to deliver messages and narratives through whimsical illustration and design. I approach each brief with an open mind and consistently provide a professional and co-operative service. I conduct each project with thorough research, consideration, care, and with great attention to detail.

  • I had my "Chin Ups" greeting card range represented by Star Editions and showcased at the 2016's "Progressive Greetings Live", the only greeting card convention in Europe.
  • My "Speedy Santa on a Segway" Christmas card design won the over 18's category for the 2016's "Crafty Christmas Card Competition" hosted by the arts education charity "The Big Draw".
  • I was one out of seven winners of the Powered by Nature competition (hosted by IUCN's Commission on Education and Communication and Alcoa Foundation).
