About

My name is Amy Gallagher and I'm a freelance comic artist, cartoonist, and illustrator based in Manchester, but originally from North London. My work is mostly digital and follows themes of playfulness, humour, and positivity. I'm inspired by everyday life, often pulling from my own experiences and musings. I aspire and gain satisfaction from producing work that sparks emotional connections, often by making people smile, or laugh, or communicate a sense of identity or hopefulness. I am also the author and illustrator of children's educational book "Microbes" (2017, published by Thunderstone Books), and comic artist for "Lost & Found", a project based on positive conservation storytelling.

My work has universal appeal due to its simple, colourful and cartoony forms. I use illustration and comics to its best advantage to catch the audience's eye, tell a story, or communicate an abstract idea. I am open to commissions, so feel free to contact me at amiluu@live.com
